General Travel Tips

I have slept in everything ranging from a five star hotel room with two king size beds in it to a draughty tent on the freezing slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro. I have eaten spaghetti in Bologna, snails in Paris and sparrow-on-a-stick in China. I’ve dodged con-artists in Morocco and India, fended off the amorous advances of a rather intoxicated older lady in Athens, and did my best Roadrunner act when a young lady I’d been enjoying a flirtatious conversation with in a Barcelona bar suddenly waved over her infeasibly tall and muscular boyfriend…

In short, I have seen and done quite a lot in the 30-odd countries I’ve been to. Here are some of the things I have learned which you might find useful.
